Well, we have finished the FWC, We went quickly to El puertito to give the prizes to the winning team and make the group and team´s photos. It was a fast ceremony as most riders had to go to the airport or to take the ferry in the south of the island. We will keep updating you all this week with new photos and videos of the event. La segunda edción de la FWC ya ha acabado, Nos movimos hoy a el Puertito para entregar los premios al equipo ganador y hacer las fotos de grupo y de los equipos. Fue algo muy rápido ya que la mayoría de los corredores se tenían que ir al aeropuerto o a Jandia a cojer el ferry. Te mantendremos informado con mas fotos y videos durante las siguientes semanas. Muchas gracias por seguir la competición y nos vemos el próximo año.

It was really good, and I was impressed by everybody on the water. Jules did a very good job, and Iballa was amazing during both session, especially in the 2nd round when she won her heat! I'm happy because I have a good team, and it motivates me to sail even better!

Except from the flags we can all see on the beach, I really don't have the feeling I'm involved in a competition! Sailing in this contest is like sailing during a free session and that makes us sailing well, with no stress. My objective here is to exploit the waves to the maximum, and I'm deeply proud of my team

I'm happy because it was the first time I sailed at La Caleta, and it was pretty good, and lot of fun. Maybe I could have gone a bit harder during my heats but still I got good waves. My whole team did good and we were all happy about that.

"I found the team were fairly composed. We were good and managed to get many points! We are now only 0,5 points behind the leading team During my first heat I took only 3 waves and I did 2 aerials, but it was cool. And then I won my heat during the 2nd round it was crazy !!

Her impressions about the contest:
I thought we could do better, and I think we had bad luck (especially Antony and me as we both went down in our own heat and lowered the average points of the team!). I'm hoping for more wind and waves to have fun again and... to have revenge too We definitely need to score more points...

We are having a nice Guava juice in town at Secreto, specially created to provide us all the vitamins needed for a full day on the water. Estamos en Secreto en Corralejo tomando un buen zumo de "Guava", especialmente creado para darnos todas las vitaminas que necesitamos para un dia en el agua

According to the forecast, we thought today wouldn't be a good day, but when we woke up this morning, it was already quite windy in Corralejo. The organization went around the North Shore of the island to check where the conditions could be suitable to compete and surprisingly, it was looking very nice at La Caleta once again. Skipper's meeting was a bit late : at 11:00, but once on-site everyone rushed and was quickly ready to go on the water. The riders decided on the beach on their strategy (which member of the team will sail first, 2nd and so on) and the first heat started at 12:30.

Waves were around 2m hight and wind blowing slightly over 15 knots, the riders, on their bigger equipment, could make nice rollers and aerials. In the 1st heat, JB tried big aerials and a 360 but it was not enough to win the heat against the local Stephane Etienne, who took the biggest waves and won the session. Nayra and Patrick finished 3rd ex aequo. The winner of heat n°2 was a real surprise as Iballa took the victory ahead of Dario and Eleazar, 2nd ex aequo. She was working on the waves until their very end, and landed some perfect aerials in a big set! During heat 3 we saw beautiful moves from Thomas and Fabrice, both pushing hard to do their best. Thomas, always relaxed, finished 1st while Albert and Martin both took the 3rd place. The young Jules sailed very well once again against Jonas but it was not enough to beat the « pro ». In the last heat Ilya was ripping and took the advantage over Musso and his big aerials. Daida handled some good surf too and finished ahead of Nicole.

The riders seemed more into the competition than during the 1st round. On the beach, we could feel a bit more tension and everybody was more concentrated on their own heat. For sure it is a fun event, but still it's better if you win

Let's go to La Caleta straight away, the wind is blowing already, and some waves seem to be there too. If the conditions are suitable we will go on with the 2nd round of this Fuerte Wave Classic 2010!

2 hours of cleaning Piedra Playa beach won't be enough to take away all the scraps there are on this nice place... but still our efforts payed as we picked up something like 20kg of waste per person!
